June’s London Gallery Weekend has, in recent years, quietly stopped being a single weekend. Several of the galleries that opened exhibitions to coincide with the event’s private views on 4–7 June kept those same shows running deep into September — Sadie Coles HQ’s presentations by John Currin, Helen Marten and Kiik Amor among them, with both the Currin exhibition at 17 Savile Row and Marten’s presentation at The Shop on Kingly Street scheduled to run until 12 September.

Somerset House opens the world premiere of Fleurs de Villes DIANA this week, an exhibition in which fifteen of London’s leading floral designers reinterpret defining looks worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, entirely in fresh flowers. Staged in support of The Diana Award, the twenty-one-day exhibition sits at an unusual intersection of fashion history, floristry and charitable fundraising — territory that art criticism does not often venture into.
